About:

Sachin Kumar received his undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. Then moved to Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for his Ph.D. in Biomaterials. After Ph.D., received Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship to conduct postdoc research at Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPIP, Germany). After completing Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship, moved to The University of Texas (UT) at Austin USA, to continue postdoc research. In 2021 joined Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) as Assistant Professor in Centre for Biomedical Engineering. Research interest underlies in interdisciplinary field of biomaterials, biomechanics and bio-optics to understand how mechanical, chemical and physical properties of the biomaterials regulate cellular functions and processes such as cancer progression, stem cell differentiation, tissue regeneration and cellular metabolism.

Areas of Interest:

Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, Biomechanics of Fibrin Blood Clot, Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation (LLPS) in Biology, Cancer Metabolic Imaging
